All the Masahiro historical Katanas are 100% hand forged.  They have an extremely sharp 1060 carbon steel blade, a one piece brass habaki (blade collar), authentic ray skin wrapped tsuka (handle) and antique bronze tsuba (guard).  The sageo and ito are woven from Japanese cotton and the saya (scabbard) is finished with a deep black lacquer. 

Each sword comes with a cotton sword bag for extra protection and packaged in a tubular box.
