Each blade in the Masahiro Practical Series is hand forged and made of high carbon steel.  They have a one piece brass habaki (blade collar), authentic ray skin wrapped tsuka (handle) and bronze tsuba (guard).  The sageo and ito are woven from Japanese cotton.  The saya (scabbard) is finished with a deep black lacquer.

Each sword comes with a cotton sword bag for extra protection.
