This distinctive knife is the Double Shadow.  Gil Hibben, famous for his unique knife and blade designs, custom crafted this knife especially for United Cutlery in 1991 as the second in his annual Fantasy Series.  Measuring 11 1/4" overall, this eye catching offering features a 5 1/2 mirror polished, 420 stainless steel blade split into two sections by an unusual blade cutout.  The hilt offers a handle with silver wire wrap that provides a sure grip.  This knife includes Gil Hibbens personal stamp etched on the blade and a custom, genuine leather sheath.

Colonel Aaron Bank, born November 23, 1902 , was an officer of the United States Army, and the founder of the U.S. Army Special Forces, commonly called "Green Berets".  He is also famous for his exploits as an OSS officer during World War II, parachuting into France to coordinate and activate the French Resistance and organizing an operation intended to capture Adolf Hitler.  Col. Bank is commonly known throughout the armed forces as “The Father Of The Green Berets.”  He died on April 1, 2004 in Dana Point, California at the age of 101.  The V-42 Stiletto was used extensively in many Special Forces branches as the primary fighting knife.  This historically accurate V-42 stiletto replica features a stacked leather handle like the original, as to be easily handled in cold weather.  Each dagger offers a razor-sharp, double-edged stiletto blade that pierces through even tough materials with ease.  Thumb notches are cast into the handle above the guard to keep the knife from slipping when wet.

This S.O.A. assault knife features a contoured premium Micarta handle which not only gives this knife a tactical appearance, but is also slip resistant and extremely easy to grip even while wet.  The 4 3/4” full-tang blade has been titanium-coated to reduce glare and prevent corrosion and then etched with the S.O.A. emblem and “Death Waits In The Dark.”  The extended tang of the blade can be used as a pry bar in emergency situations.  Each knife includes a custom-molded Kydex sheath with a high-pressure metal clip that has been laser-etched with the S.O.A. emblem and also offers pre-drilled lanyard holes.  Because the sheath is custom-molded, it prevents the knife from falling from the sheath, even while clipped upside down on a shoulder strap or rifle sling.
