Ni-Hard Iron

Designations: Ni-Hard 1 · UNS F45000 · ASTM A532 Cl. I Type ANi-Hard is a martensitic white cast iron alloyed with 3.3–5.0% nickel and 1.4–4.0% chromium, developed for sliding and low-impact abrasion. The nickel suppresses pearlite formation so the casting hardens through section without heat treatment; the chromium forms the carbides that carry the wear. It is specified for mill liners, pump casings, slurry components and chute plate. Kormax casts Ni-Hard to ASTM A532 Class I Type A.
