Overview

Kormax Aluminium Alloy 6061 contains silicon to lower melting temperature and improve fluidity, and magnesium to improve strength and strain hardening ability. It is one of the most commonly found aluminium alloys with a medium to high strength and is heat-treatable. Often used for structural and aerospace applications, it has particularly good corrosion resistance to atmospheric conditions and very good weldability although reduced strength in the weld zone.

Aluminium 6061 is supplied across New Zealand and Australia. Profiles include aluminium round bar, flat bar and square bar, plus custom on indent.
