2020 NZIA Architecture Award Winner

Kormax partnered with Grandvue Joinery, providing the correct material solution for the detailed fittings on Paul Clarke’s award winning home. Kormax Brass angle was used for tracks on the sliding timber screens, Kormax Brass flat bar to trim the outdoor concrete slabs, Kormax Brass door handles, even the straps on the chimneys, as it doesn’t react with the copper.

This is our home, we wanted to create a home that had purpose to us, and purpose for each of the spaces.
The selection of materials was important as we set out to achieve something refined and lasting. The Brass fittings and trims create quality and depth, it’s natural patina balances well with the timber and other materials used to form #3. Brass was used due to its durability, but we also love the authenticity it brings to our home
